Here are just a few thoughts that stuck with me from All Access 2011 conference in Baton Rouge.
When God gives you a dream, sometimes you have to get straight gangster with it! (Matthew Barnett)
Sometimes you have got to get radical in order to get right. (Matthew Barnett)
A relational wound will keep you from your potential. (Chris Hodges)
Be faithful in the ordinary and God will bring you the extraordinary! (Stovall Weems)
Be extreme in what you are for, not in what you are against! (Stovall Weems)
Only God can make it rain but it is our job to dig ditches in preparation (2 Kings 3)! (Steven Furtick)
March 2011 Mexico Pastor's Conference
Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 09:16PM Here are a few thoughts from this past weekend's pastors and leaders conference in Mexico! (Be sure and check out the photo album by clicking on the picture to the left.)
1. The flight down went nothing like it was supposed to. So, 28 hours late - $400 later - an unexpected overnight stay in Houston - I finally arrived on Friday around noon.
2. The number of pastors and leaders has leveled out to a solid number that will finish with the next conference in October from 400 in the beginning to between 150 -200 now.
3. Overwhelmed with joy to hear how some of my "spiritual sons" have now planted and are pastoring some incredible churches now some 18 years later!
4. Was so blessed to receive confirmation from many that my message on Judas in the main campus on Sunday was spot on and really changed the life of two of our lead team pastors there. Thank you Jesus!
5. As always, I really enjoyed the time with my best friend and ministry partner Nathan Martin. He now pastors Christian Challenge in Pineville Louisiana. Check out his facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/NathanCCI
6. Mexican food is the best in the world but I am paying for it now! ;-)
The Dream
Monday, January 17, 2011 at 02:31PM
This past weekend was a big one for Life Church as we shared our dream and revealed renderings for the new building that we are believing to build on our campus! This new building will house our new auditorium, the LC cafe, and all of our children's ministries under one roof. The current auditorium will then become the permanent worship space for our teens and students. We received our first miracle offering of 2011 this weekend and if you missed it, you can still give by contacting the church office. Here are a couple of thoughts I shared Sunday while receiving the offering.
1. It's going to take each and everyone of us to make the dream happen!
2. This is not about a building, but about being a part of making God's dream for this place a reality!
3. We won't decrease our missions or outreach in order to build the building!
4. We will build when we are able. (When all of the components are in place - money raised, pledges made, financing secured, and all plans approved and permits in place.)

Finally, please pray with us as we believe God to enable us to do a work much bigger than us!
